Cookies & Local Storage

Last updated: 19 August 2026

This page explains, in plain terms, how Zero/Sixty Showdown (“the site”) uses cookies and browser storage.

Essential local storage

The race tool may use your browser's local storage to remember selections and preferences you make, such as your chosen performance mode, the number of lanes, or the weather and tyre conditions. This storage lives on your own device, is not a cookie that travels with you across sites, and is not shared with us or any third party. You can clear it at any time through your browser settings without affecting your ability to use the tool.

Google AdSense during review

The Google AdSense loader is present on the site while it undergoes review. During this review period the loader may set or read cookies or similar storage as part of its normal operation. If the site is approved, Google and its advertising partners may use cookies or similar technologies to serve and measure advertisements, and to provide ads based on visits to this site and other sites.

Personalised and non-personalised advertising

Advertising can be personalised, where cookies help tailor ads to your interests, or non-personalised, where ads are shown without building a profile of you. The consent message described below lets you choose which type of advertising you receive.

Consent message for the EEA, UK and Switzerland

Visitors in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom and Switzerland are shown a Google-certified consent message where required. The message offers three choices:

  • Consent — allow personalised advertising.
  • Do not consent — decline consent. Where eligible, limited ads may be shown; otherwise no ad may be served.
  • Manage options — review and adjust individual choices.

You can change or withdraw your choices at any time using the “Privacy and cookie settings” link in the site footer, which triggers Google's official consent-revocation mechanism.

Managing cookies and local storage in your browser

Most browsers let you view, block or delete cookies and local storage in their settings. Blocking or deleting cookies may affect how advertising and the Google consent message work, but it will not stop the race tool itself from functioning — you may simply need to re-select your preferred options next time you visit.

Analytics

No Google Analytics service is currently installed on the site. If one is introduced in the future, this page will be updated to describe it before it is activated. We do not invent a list of exact cookie names or expiry durations, because those details depend on the live implementation and will be documented accurately when they apply.
